Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 June 2026

Salone Gospel Hubis the home of Sierra Leonean gospel — a free directory and community for artists, musicians, choirs, churches, producers, DJs, songs and events, at home and across the diaspora. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We've kept it plain and short on purpose.

We collect as little as we can. Creators never pay to be listed, and we don't sell your information or run cross-site advertising trackers.

What we collect

  • Your account. An email address, so you can sign in with a magic link or with Google. We never set or store a password. If you use Google, we receive only the basic profile Google shares to confirm who you are.
  • Things you publish. When you add a profile, song or event you give us the details you choose to share — a name, photo, bio, location, genres, links and so on. This content is meant to be public in the directory once approved.
  • Your activity. Follows, likes and event RSVPs are kept private to you — only the totals are shown publicly, never who you are. Comments are public and show the display name you choose. Reports you send are private to our moderators.
  • Technical basics. Standard server logs needed to run and secure the site. The app works offline by caching pages on your own device. Sponsor click counts are recorded in aggregate using a one-way hash — we never store your raw IP address. To understand how the site is used, we measure page visits with a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service (Vercel) that reports aggregate trends only — visits, popular pages, rough country and referrer — without cookies, cross-site tracking, or storing your IP address.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • run the directory and show your approved profiles, songs and events;
  • review submissions, because nothing goes public until a moderator approves it;
  • keep the community safe — preventing spam, abuse and impersonation;
  • show aggregate counts (followers, likes, RSVPs) and basic, privacy-respecting usage trends;
  • contact you about your account or submissions when we need to.

Moderation & what becomes public

Profiles, songs, events and comments are reviewed by a human moderator. Nothing you submit appears publicly until it is approved — usually within 48 hours. Your private activity (follows, likes, RSVPs and reports) is never published.

Who else is involved

We rely on a few trusted providers to run the service, and share only what each needs:

  • Supabase — our database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Vercel — hosting, content delivery and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Embedded players (YouTube, Spotify, Audiomack, SoundCloud) load only after you tap play, so those platforms receive nothing about you until you choose to watch or listen.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our page-visit analytics is cookieless, so there is no tracking-cookie banner to click through.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and content. If you're in the UK, EU or another region with data-protection laws, those rights apply to you here too. To make a request, email us at danielbangs@dsbdigital.biz. You can also flag any page with the “Report this page” link.

Keeping your information

We keep your account and content for as long as your profile is active or until you ask us to delete it. Aggregate sponsor-click data is automatically trimmed over time, and we remove information we no longer need.

Children

Salone Gospel Hub is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date above, and we'll flag any significant changes.
